I've got to start swatching for real. i kinda half ass it. bc i figure "washing cant make ::that:: much diffrence". WOW am i wrong. im afraid im gona have to rip out the noro beanie i did for Allan. :( ITs soooooo pretty. In a boy way... of course. So i got it done right? fit me perfect. well, fit me like allans hats fit me. which means too big. hits my eye brows and doesnt mess up my hair at all. lol, so it was gonna be great. and then i washed it. and it grew TWO inches folks. TWO god damn inches. i had no idea that would happen. so now im praying to the knitting gods to work theyir wool magic while it blocks. hoping it does that magical fits to the shape you put it in deal that ive heard about. sigh. its gonna be a bitch to unravel. but the scarf is lovely! ill post the pics of it that have been sitting in my camera for two days later tonight.

If it doesn't shrink up with the regular blocking try putting it in super hot water then just laying it flat to dry. I did that with my black lamb's pride hat that got all stretched out from me wearing it with wet hair all the time. Worked like a charm.
